Jake Berard, PT, DPT
Jake is a Meridian, Idaho native. He attended Westminster College as a student athlete earning his bachelor's degree in Neuroscience while playing lacrosse. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Fresno State University in 2020 and joined Sawtooth Physical Therapy in 2022.

Jake is passionate about athletics and sports medicine and has experience working with athletes; including professional baseball, college football, and multiple high school sports. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His clinical approach emphasizes education about the body and finding the root cause of a patient's symptoms. He works with each person to develop a personalized treatment plan to achieve their goals.

Jake lives and breathes college football as a die-hard fan and is always seeking out the next best place for eats and drinks. You may find him in many different social settings, so always stop to say hello!

Tammy Seagrave, PT MPT
Tammy grew up in Southern California and moved to Washington in 1992 to attend the University of Puget Sound. At UPS, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Masters in Physical Therapy. Tammy has focused her practice in outpatient orthopedics, working closely with sports medicine specialists, orthopedic surgeons and neurosurgeons. She moved to Boise in 2009 with her husband and two sons. Tammy studied at the Wellspring School of Healing Arts in Boise and became a Certified Holistic Nutritionist in 2012.

In the clinic, Tammy enjoys developing personalized treatment plans for her patients and empowering them to facilitate their recovery. She thrives on helping patients get back to doing whatever it is they love to do!

Tammy has completed several half marathons, two marathons, a half ironman and has competed as an elite triathlete. She loves warm sunny weather, yoga, running, skate skiing, traveling, gardening and spending time with her family.

5.Theresa Brynteson OTR/L, CHT
Theresa joined Sawtooth PT in 2019 and has been a practicing occupational therapist for over 26 years. She completed her schooling at the University of Wisconsin. Madison and did an additional internship in hand therapy in 1994. Theresa spent a couple years after she graduated working as a traveling therapist in a variety of settings and in multiple cities throughout the U.S. She discovered her love of the outdoors and the mountains during that time.

Theresa first moved to Idaho in 1997 and became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2003. She enjoys treating a variety of upper extremity injuries and provides care ranging from custom orthotics to personalized therapy programs.

Theresa is married with one daughter. In her spare time she enjoys mountain biking, hiking and snowboarding with her family.

Evan Gustavsen, PT DPT
Evan graduated from Chapman University in 2019 earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. She attended the University of Idaho for her undergraduate degrees in Biology and with a B.A. in Spanish.

Evan sees every patient as an individual, and creates specialized treatment plans for each utilizing a blend of movement analysis, posture correction, tissue/joint mobilization, neuromuscular re-education, and the creation of personalized home exercise programs. Her goal is to help guide patients in their treatment process to best facilitate their recovery and achievement of their personal goals. In addition to orthopedic care, Evan has spent time in pediatrics, inpatient, and acute care rehabilitation.

Evan is an avid outdoors-lady, and enjoys skiing, hiking, running, and biking in her free time.

Bryan Stednitz, MS, PT, DPT
Leading patient care at Sawtooth Physical Therapy Nampa is Clinic Manager Bryan Stednitz. Bryan earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL and has been practicing since 2013. He also earned a Master's of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Southern Mississippi where he completed a research thesis and served as an adjunct faculty member.

Bryan has over 12 years of leadership and operations experience and has served as a clinical instructor to physical therapy students. Bryan is passionate about serving patients and others in the profession. He enjoys working with a wide range of patients including post-operative care, musculoskeletal pain, spine and shoulder injuries, high school and collegiate athletes, and injured workers. He has experience treating multiple neurologic conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Cerebral Palsy, and stroke patients. Bryan has a strong background in manual therapy integrated with functional exercise to return patients to their optimal level of function and prevent future injury.

In his free time Bryan enjoys cycling, strength training, and hiking with his wife Katie and their two children Cora and Paul.

Andrew Jend,PT, DPT
Andrew received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Carroll University in 2017 and his doctorate in physical therapy also from Carroll University in 2019. He joined Sawtooth in 2021 and became the clinic manager in the Meridian office in 2022.

Dedicated to empathizing with his patients, Andrew listens to concerns in order to develop a comprehensive assessment. He strives to develop a specific plan of care to help each person return to their sports, hobbies and passions.

Andrew recently relocated from Madison, WI with his wife Natalie, to live a more adventurous life. He enjoys spending time outside hiking, running, biking and exploring all of the natural beauty that Idaho has to offer.

Taylor Cavazos, PT, DPT
Taylor was born in Seattle and became an active person early on at the age of five, starting with gymnastics. She began dancing at 8 years old in jazz, modern, ballet, tap, and hip hop. This became her passion for many years, as she began teaching dance and competing regularly around the country. She also played basketball for a recreational team just for fun.
At sixteen years old, she had a back injury and started her sophomore year in a back brace while attending physical therapy sessions for nearly a year. She learned quickly how much she loved this environment and what physical therapists could offer to people in pain or needing guidance with how to move optimally. She was fascinated by the integration of science, creating relationships, and helping others be more active while improving their quality of life.
Taylor received her BS degree in Exercise Science and Wellness from Bastyr University in 2016, and attended graduate school in New Hampshire for her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree which she received in 2019. Taylor has experience working in acute, sub-acute, and long-term care settings, and has treated various orthopedic, neuromuscular, and cardiovascular/pulmonary conditions.
When away from work, she enjoys working out, teaching dance, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her husband, her dog, and her daughter.

Joe Pineda, PT, DPT
Joe is a native Californian whose diverse athletic background includes cross country, pole-vaulting, soccer, baseball, martial arts, slack-lining, wakeboarding, gymnastics and more. His path was influenced by serving the community as an EMT and firefighter. He received his B.S. in Kinesiology with emphasis in Physical Therapy, as well as a minor in Exercise Nutrition, from Cal Poly Humboldt. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from ISU in Meridian and joined Sawtooth in 2022. Practicing as a Holistic Lifestyle Coach, he draws from his extensive experience in strength and conditioning, unconventional functional training, exercise physiology, stress management, and nutritional therapy, in an effort to inspire and empower individuals to become well and enhance their resilience.

Joe works with the intention to practice with an integrated and multidisciplinary approach, and individually guide patients to achieve high performance so that life feels easy. He views the body as an integrated whole, greater than the sum of its parts, in an effort to find the root cause of pathology. Joe has worked in many settings and served various populations, including in-patient, sub-acute, geriatrics, adolescents, sport-specialized athletes, and individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Outside the clinic, he can be found in the gym, gardening in his regenerative homestead, out in nature, cold plunging or at the hot springs, rock climbing, backpacking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, or snowboarding.

Tristen Keller, PT, DPT
Tristen received her undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and graduated from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2021. She joined Sawtooth Physical Therapy in 2022. Her passion for physical therapy stems from wanting to help people navigate through tough situations and injuries to get them back to the things they love. She has experience with those suffering with chronic pain and general orthopedic conditions. During a service trip to Africa Tristen treated patients in a Malawi hospital with burns, pediatric conditions, and musculoskeletal conditions.

Tristen loves to be in the gym lifting weights, on the water kiteboarding, and on the trails either biking or hiking. As an avid learner she is always finding new ways to provide optimal care for her patients.

Justin Pittman, PT, DPT, CCRT
Justin joined Sawtooth PT in 2022. He earned his Bachelor of Exercise Science from Boise State University and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of South Florida. He has experience working in all facets of Physical Therapy, but has a clinical interest in orthopedics. Justin helps patients of all backgrounds recover from various injuries/conditions using evidence-based treatment.

Justin is married and has two great dogs. He spends most of his time away from the clinic getting outdoors, spending time with his family, and furthering his education. Justin also treats dogs who have torn ACL's, live with chronic pain, and other various conditions through his canine rehab business.

Charee VanOrder, OTR/L
Charee began practicing Occupational Therapy in 1994 and joined Sawtooth Physical Therapy in 2021. She earned her BS in Physical Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Boise State in 1981. In 1993 she obtained her Occupational Therapy degree from Pacific University. Since 1995 she has focused on the specialty of hand therapy. Charee enjoys treating trauma and post-surgical patients involving the elbow, wrist, and hand while providing individualized therapy programs, including custom orthoses. Charee is a long time resident of the Boise area and lives here with her husband and two daughters. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her daughters, hiking, traveling, reading and going to McCall as much as possible.
